Best Places in Kashmir for a Company Team Trip
Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Doodhpathri, and Yusmarg as pieces of a company itinerary — what each is for, not a ranked list of “best” towns.
“Best places” for a company trip are the places that fit the days you actually have. The six below are the ones we use most often when writing a corporate Kashmir itinerary. None of them needs to appear on every outing.
Srinagar
Srinagar is the usual arrival and the easiest group base: airport, hotels, houseboats on request, gardens, and Dal Lake. Role in a corporate itinerary: start, finish, and the rest day. Experience: city and lake, not a trekking town. Possible duration: two nights is a common minimum so arrival is not the only Srinagar memory.
Gulmarg
Gulmarg is the high meadow. Role: a day trip from Srinagar or one overnight if the team wants evening quiet. Experience: open pasture, pines, gondola if it is running and you choose to buy tickets. Duration: one full day, or a night if you do not want the same-day return. Height and cold tire mixed groups faster than a city afternoon.
Pahalgam
Pahalgam is river and valley. Role: the second meadow town on a longer circuit, or the one meadow overnight if Gulmarg is a day trip. Experience: walks, optional Aru or Betaab, quieter evenings. Duration: one or two nights. The drive from Srinagar is a real half-day; do not treat it as a short hop.
Sonamarg
Sonamarg is a landscape day more often than a group hotel town. Role: a long day from Srinagar when the season supports the Sindh Valley road. Overnight stays depend on what is open. Duration: one day for most company plans. Glacier close-ups are optional and weather-bound.
Doodhpathri
Doodhpathri is a meadow day that does not require another hotel. Role: picnic-style time out of Srinagar for teams that want landscape without packing. Experience: open pasture and streams. Duration: a day trip. We do not invent opening hours; we confirm the road for your dates.
Yusmarg
Yusmarg is a compact pine-and-meadow outing, also usually from Srinagar. Role: an alternative to Doodhpathri when you want a quieter day. Duration: a day trip. Not a substitute for a Gulmarg overnight if people want a high-meadow evening.

Do we need to visit every place on this list?
No. Most company trips use Srinagar plus one or two meadow days. Adding every name usually means remembering the car.
Which place is best for a large group?
Srinagar as a base often keeps the group in one hotel. Meadow overnights depend on whether enough rooms can be confirmed together. That is a quote question, not a slogan.
